WHAT DO WOMEN WANT?
Come find out on Wednesday, November 7th from
There's been something in the
air lately. Recently, several different women have lamented to one
another that they yearn to be together more often. That's no
surprise ... the women of WPC like each other and want more
opportunities to be together! In the past, WPC has had a lively women's
ministry that ranged from Bible study to pure fellowship. We want it all AGAIN!
Please come with your ideas for small groups. Be creative! Think
about what type of structure and schedule will make it work. Consider
whether you want to lead a group. Just to get your mind working, here are
a few of the ideas that have been mentioned:
Bible Study; Moms, Babies & Tots Playgroup; Scrapbook Club (to record the
history of WPC); Culinary Club; Mothers & Daughters; Mothers & Teens;
Women 60+.
Please join us for both planning and socializing. Call your friends and
come for a bit of wine, cheese, sweets, coffee and fellowship to exchange
ideas.
NEXT SUNDAY
In The
Gathering Space
On the occasion of the third
anniversary of the dedication of the WPC Sanctuary (November 14, 2004), there
will be an “unveiling” of a permanent plaque honoring members of WPC’s Building Committee for their dedication in the design and construction of the sanctuary.
All WPC members and friends are invited to join in this happy occasion,
honoring these eight members with our well-deserved acclamation, “Well done,
thou good and faithful servants!”

the Life, Teachings, and Relevance of a Religious Revolutionary" by Marcus
Borg October 28, Nov 4, 11 and 18. Marcus Borg is one of the best known
modern Christian theologians. He has done much to revolutionize our
understanding of first-century Christianity. Borg uses the latest information
from archeology and new textual discoveries to illuminate life around the time
of Jesus’ ministry. In the process, he offers a fascinating view
of Jesus' Way to God’s Kingdom through transformation of lives and concern
for those in need. Borg’s latest book is the subject of the Adult Education
series on Sunday mornings from
