GOD’S PEOPLE HERE. We hold in prayer Joe Beck, a friend of Elaine Otten’s, who is battling advanced stage lung cancer….Sonny Gerquest is a patient at Norwalk Hospital for treatment of colitis….Ted Herlyn continues outpatient chemotherapy for cancer…Jean Leinroth is at home recuperating slowly, but steadily…Phil Reinertsen is at home recuperating slowly, but steadily as well….Worshipping with us in spirit at Fairbanks Community Church are WPC members, alumni, and friends Mark and Sarah Carta, David and Michael Garland, Jorgen and Camilla Heidemann, David Hull, Laurie Hull and her son, Nick Heilman, Drew Masters, Bill Susan, Rob and Topher Mathews, Matt White, Steve White, and Matt Yanoff. As participants in the Mission-at-the-Eastward work camp, they begin their work rehabilitating homes of people in need in/near Farmington, Maine tomorrow through Thursday, returning to Wilton on Friday/Saturday.

THE FIRST TWENTY-FIVE YEARS OF WPC’S HISTORY is commemorated in the memoirs of its first two installed Pastors: W. Stewart MacColl’s Random Memories and J. Stephen Jacob’s Not Without Laughter. Copies of these memoirs are available on the table at coffee hour. Pick up your copies…and enjoy.

TODAY’S SUMMER CHURCH SCHOOL LESSON IS: “Because Nothing Looks Like God” This beautifully illustrated book asks the questions “Where is God?”, “What does God look like?” and “How does God make things happen?” It does not give any answers but offers creative ways for children to consider these questions and realize that we all can be God’s hands.  Activity: Children will draw around their own hands and decorate them in celebration of the fact that their hands are God’s hands.
